Singing Beach
Singing Beach is easily the most well-known and largest beach in Manchester with a total shore length of just under a half mile. Singing Beach also offers more amenities than other local beaches. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, a bathhouse with showers and changing areas is open seven days a week. The beach is staffed by lifeguards in the summer, and a privately run snack bar operates seasonally as well. A Manchester resident sticker is required for parking in the summer. About a five-minute walk from the beach in the center of town, the local Boy Scouts sell beach parking for a nominal fee. The Manchester commuter train station is also about a five-minute walk from the beach. The train is an excellent alternative to purchasing parking, especially if you're traveling from Boston or other area suburbs. In the off-season months, out of town residents are able to park in designated spots. Dogs are allowed on the beach from November 1 through April 30Non-Residents may park in the Singing Beach Parking Lot this summer on Mondays – Thursdays ONLY, for a fee of $25.00 per day if space is available. On Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays, parking is limited strictly to Manchester residents with a valid Beach Parking Sticker. Non-Resident parking will be available thru Thursday, August 30th. Beginning August 31st and continuing thru- September 30th, parking in the Singing Beach lot is limited to Manchester residents with a valid sticker only.
